Informations for Families

Children are welcome at the Mazarine Library accompanied by an adult during a private visit or on a school trip (See too: Information for Teachers).

The library was founded in the seventeenth century; it is housed in a palace built from 1662 by Louis Le Vau, the Sun King's favourite architect. Its collections extend from the Middle Ages to the twenty-first century and include many treasures.
